Catherine Hamilton - Soprano

Niall Anderson - Baraton

Alec Hone & Peter King,  - Pianists

We open with our haunting rendition of Brahms’s In stiller Nacht, a finely crafted, a cappella motet setting of a German folk song. The concert programme continues with a selection of Brahms’s most beautiful and heartfelt Lieder — exquisite duets for voice and piano, performed by our soprano soloist, Catherine Hamilton and baritone, Neill Anderson and accompanied by Peter Adcock on piano.
The second half features Brahms’s Ein Deutsches Requiem, his most profound and humanist choral masterpiece. Performed in Brahms’s own arrangement for piano four hands, featuring pianist Alec Hone alongside Peter King. This work will be brought to life by our special baritone and soprano soloists, offering an intimate and deeply moving experience of this unparalleled musical testament.
