Our Director

The ExeVox Musical Director is PETER J. ADCOCK  accompanist, performer, musician, teacher and coach, Peter won an organ scholarship to read music at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford University, where he secured a further music scholarship with the highest first in his year. A pianist, organist and flautist, he has studied throughout England, notably with the late Professor Alexander Kelly and Paul Hamburger, and frequently collaborates with other famous musicians including Sir David Willcocks, Robert Tear, Sir Neville Marriner, Bob Chilcott and Nigel Perrin. With a broad repertoire, from Baroque to Twentieth-century, he equally enjoys performing in different media, entertaining and educating, with a private teaching practice in Exeter, coaching musicians and singers of all ages and standards.

Peter is co-founder and director of ExeVox; he organizes concerts, including a weekend of summer concerts for charities at Ugbrooke House (Ugbrooke Music Festival); accompanies in concerts, workshops, auditions, recitals and exams; records; plays for church services, weddings and funerals; arranges and transcribes music using Sibelius software; writes programme notes. Numerous concert and festival engagements as pianist, accompanist and director have taken him from across Great Britain to Australia, Austria, France, Sweden, Norway, Italy and Germany.
